The Holidays are fast approaching! Monday, November 16 is the last day to get your corset order in for Christmas! Any order received after November 16 will be subject to a rush charge (as follows):

Nov 17-23: Add $50
Nov 24-30: Add $70
Dec 1-7: Add $100
Dec 8-?: INQUIRE!

These are special reduced rush rates for the 2009 Holiday Season! Normal rush rates will resume Jan 2010!

A lot of the plans I had for SugarKitty in 2008 kind of fell through. I've had a lot of (unexpected) personal changes this year, but I look forward to getting back on track in 2009. I've moved (AGAIN), and thanks to our lovely, lovely economy, I've had to pick up a second job. I'm way behind on answering emails, but I'm getting closer to getting out of the corset backlog.

I cannot thank my clients enough for being patient and understanding with me. I know you're all tired of waiting, I know you're frustrated. I'm almost there - thank you for hanging in there with me!

I was part of a fashion show last Thursday for a local Halloween/Fetish ball. As soon as I have some pics, I'll be sure to post them in my galleries. Keep an eye out!

There's not been much new going on in SugarKitty land. I've been working through a major backlog of orders, trying to get caught up.

I plan to launch a few new designs in the coming months, with help from my lovely spokesmodel, Miss Maria Bella. I am still working on SugarKitty Luxe, the line of Luxury Corsets. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, the debut for SKLuxe keeps getting pushed back.

Look for me at the 4th Annual Craftin' Outlaws Alternative Craft Fair on August 16th! I'll be there from 12-7 on August 16. I have a few cool new items that will be debuting, so you don't wanna miss it! Craftin' Outlaws is being held at BoMA this year. 595 E Broad St, Columbus OH, 43215.

If you're a current SugarKitty client, please check your email. I've sent out a mass update to anyone that currently has an order in with me. I hope this will explain some things and alleviate anyone's concerns about the status of their order.

It's been a long time since I've updated. I am insanely busy, and generally just get busier in the summertime. I am running about 4 or so weeks behind right now. I'm not sending out personal update emails, because I've got close to 30 orders, and I am simply too swamped to do so.

I've added a new column to the Order Status page that includes other projects/orders I'm working on. I don't just make corsets, and I don't want people to think their corset order has remained in the same status for a long time because I'm just not working on it.

I also reinstated the Events Calendar to reflect what I'm working on each day. I plan to put client meetings, pick-up & due dates, as well as other personal appointments/events to keep everyone abreast of what's going on.

I've sent in my application to ComFest, and though I haven't heard back yet, I have to begin planning as if I've already been accepted. It's three solid days of selling, and the single largest event of the year for me. I will be adding ComFest *workdays* to the calendar in the near future, too.

Though I don't really like to post personal stuff here, I feel compelled to let my clients know when huge things are going on. My husband lost his job earlier this year, and though I can't go into details, he is currently unable to look for another job. I am taking on extra projects to compensate for the loss of income, which explains why I'm so overloaded right now.

So to those who are having to wait a little longer, I'm truly sorry. Just know, it will be worth your wait, and your corset will be fabulous beyond fabulous.

'm selling my Palm Tungsten C on eBay. It's become obsolete to me since I've got my laptop. So if you or anyone you know needs or wants one, now's your chance! Wheeeee! There's absolutely nothing wrong with it - I swear. It's just ridiculous to carry a cell phone, a laptop, and a Palm around.

I've also completely moved my former eBay store to the new shopping cart on SugarKitty Couture. I will also be adding handbags & accessories over to the new shopping cart, too. It's just a slow, arduous process, and my main goal was getting the hell off of eBay asap.

Due to increased business and workload, I've found it necessary to revamp my Payment Plan Policies. You can also find the policies HERE.

I will accept payment plans for direct website (online or local) orders only. Any corset purchased on Etsy, eBay, or from any other promotional listing will be required to pay in full.

    -Payments can be divided into two, three, or four equal payments.
    -Payments must be made every thirty days. The first payment is due within 30 days of invoice date.
    -If first payment is not received within 30 days, order will be canceled.
    -If more than 45 days elapses between payments, order will be canceled. Any payments made will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
    -Canceled orders can be reinstated for a $50 reinstatement fee, plus any unpaid balance.
    -Orders canceled due to unpaid balances will be held for a year. After one year has passed, you will be required to place the order again, including measurement form, and full payment.
    -You MUST request a payment plan and a custom invoice from me before placing your order. The shopping cart will not allow you to make partial payments.
    -I am no longer accepting cash, checks or money orders from web clients (local clients that visit my studio may still pay with these methods). All web orders must be paid via PayPal or ProPay.
    -Your order will be placed on hold until at least 50% of the payment is received. After that, supplies will be ordered, and your pattern will be made (a fitting muslin will be made at this time also, if appropriate).
    -Order will not be completed until 100% of payment is received.

I know this probably seems harsh, but I have a business to run. I'm tired of spending hours and hours emailing clients, researching their orders, helping them make decisions, only to be burned by not getting paid. Imagine if you went to work tomorrow, and your boss told you that you had to work for 4 hours, but weren't going to get paid for it. All the time spent working with nonpaying clients could be spent sewing!

I understand that people will ask questions, and often times not order. This is perfectly fine. Purchasing a custom corset is a big decision, and an investment. However, if you get to the point where you request an invoice from me, however, please plan on paying. This is how I make a living, after all.
